At the Türkenloch (lit. 'turks hole') above the Steinwand Gorge, Furth an der Triesting, Lower Austria

Residents of the Triesting Valley are thought to have hidden in the 'turks hole' at the Battle of Vienna in 1683, but rising smoke gave away their from their hideaway to advancing Janissaries and they were all killed.
